Key Features of the Reader Rail

  • Display information, narrative or media easily, clearly and professionally
  • Display can be individual sections or continuous run
  • The height and angle are designed to maximise accessibility to all
  • Sections can be linked at any angle up to 90 degrees to follow the outline of your display
  • All displays are supplied with low reflect acrylic for a professional finish

Adaptable Display Format

The Freestanding display is presented on top of two or more stainless steel Information Stands at an angle of 60 degrees, so that it is visible to adults, children and wheelchair users alike, and minimises or eliminates reflected glare from overhead lighting. The artwork is also protected with a faceplate of clear, low reflect acrylic that comes ready fitted to the Reader Rail.

The Reader Rail can be installed as individual sections or in a single continuous run that will follow the contours of your display.

Dimensions and Finish

The Reader Rail has a graphic height of 11¾" and comes in three standard lengths, 4', 6' & 8' . Other lengths can be produced to order.

The anodised aluminium Reader Rail has an overall height of 44" to the top of the display, 1 ¼" diameter stainless steel uprights and 13 ¼" diameter stable stainless steel base plates.

Our Starter Kits are the most straightforward solution for your display. These can then be extended or configured if you require a longer or continuous run.

Useful Tips and Guidelines

If this is the first time purchasing a Reader Rail, you will need a Starter Kit. These kits come complete with everything you need to display the information that is required. However, if you have an existing Reader Rail and wish to extend it, we now offer Extension Kits. Each kit is designed specifically to attach to the current Reader Rail.

Please note: Only purchase an Extension Kit if you already have an existing Reader Rail. Please contact us for more details.

There are a range of Reader Rail components to suit a wide variety of displays. These can be Freestanding, Floor Socket or Fixed to the wall, and all in a choice of lengths to suit the needs of your particular installation.

If you plan to use the Reader Rail in the role of a barrier system, you may wish to include the Absolute Q Barrier Cuff to fit a cord at a mid height level below the rail to impede access by children.

If you already have a Freestanding Reader Rail and wish to mount it on the wall, then individual wall brackets are available on request.
